How Bluetooth Control Works

The core idea of Bluetooth streetlight control is simple:
each lamp post is equipped with an intelligent controller that integrates a Bluetooth module.

Through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the controller communicates with mobile apps, handheld remotes, or fixed gateways. This enables direct single-lamp control, group dimming, and status feedback.

When combined with Bluetooth gateways, the system connects to the cloud, allowing centralized monitoring and remote management from anywhere with internet access. This approach offers a cost-effective yet powerful alternative to traditional wired or wide-area IoT systems.

System Components

Smart Streetlight Controller

Installed inside the lamp pole or luminaire, it integrates: Bluetooth Module: wireless signal transmission. MCU (Microcontroller Unit): processes commands for switching and dimming. Power Driver Module: adjusts current output to LEDs. Optional Sensors: light sensors for auto ON/OFF, motion sensors for adaptive lighting.

Control Terminals

Mobile App / Tablet: scan and connect to nearby lamps for on-site control. Bluetooth Remote: handheld device for batch operations in a certain area. Bluetooth Gateway: combines Bluetooth communication with internet access (4G/5G or Ethernet) to bridge lamps with the cloud for remote management.

Cloud Management Platform (Optional)
